Once all of those new year fitness resolutions have become a reality, they can get a bit tired. You need to inject some fun into your exercise activities right now! Here are four ways to do just that this year!

Disco Spin

In recent years, spin classes have taken an interesting turn. Flow Athletic have launched NightClub Spin, at Home Nightclub in Darling Harbour. So, what can you expect? Well, likely lots of lycra! But also a pumping room filled with rocking beats, lighting and smoke machines, and sweat! Ben Lucas, a former NRL player, has designed the class to provide an excellent experience and a tough workout. He will hold eight classes of 40 people over two days in May.

Flow After Dark

Disco with a zen vibe sound appealing? Try Flow After Dark, a silent yoga disco event at the Melbourne City Town Hall next week. “Anyone who has taken one of my classes will know that I’m passionate about making yoga approachable and light-hearted,” says Kate Kendall, yoga instructor and co-founder of Flow After Dark. “I believe it should be fun, not taken too seriously and a tool that we use to amplify connection to self and others.”

Flow After Dark consists of a 90-minute Vinyasa style yoga class run by Australia’s leading instructor Kate Kendall and accompanied by DJ James Mack who will be on the decks. Guests wear noise cancelling headphones provided by Silent Sounds which will allow yogis to connect with the instructor and the music for the most zen night out yet.

Flow After Dark was born from this idea and continues to grow and grow – so much so that we have to keep finding bigger locations to fit everyone in. It’s my favourite event and something that absolutely everyone, no matter what their level of experience, can participate in,” Kate assures.

The Melbourne event will hold 400 people, don’t miss out! For more information, click here!

Barre In Bali

For anyone who’s deskbound or sedentary for the majority of the year, why not enjoy some time being active when you can get the time off! After all, the wellness travel industry is now booming, with proof that more people want to be kind to their bodies during their vacation time. This year Barre Attack is hosting a retreat at Commune in Bali which will consist of 6 days of barre, pilates, yoga, gourmet food and adventures.

Train On The Go

Once again leading the charge when it comes to women’s fitness, NIKE Women are back with a new free training concept like no other.

This year, NIKE have created the NikeWomen Metcon Mack, a truck fitted with training equipment that has been busy travelling around the country, visiting Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Wollongong and more, allowing women to challenge themselves using the equipment.

The campaign is all about #stopexercising and #starttraining encouraging women to stop doing ‘junk miles’ and start training properly. NIKE have partnered with incredibly inspiring female athletes and trainers who are spreading the message and helping other women tailor their training.
